The Authcache module allows you to enjoy the benefit of page caching on Drupal sites that operate with authenticated users of multiple roles where the content served is sensitive to the roles a particular user has been granted. In a plain vanilla Drupal installation this would present a problem because both users would be served the same cached content, but Authcache makes it possible to cache different content for different role combinations.
